I, along with a team of designers and coders, conceived Clarity during a 24-hour hackathon. The hackathon, SLO Hacks 2020, was a multidisciplinary competition in which teams competed along three dimensions: technical achievement, UX and UI design, and business plan. My primary responsibilities were early stage UX/UI, business plan development, and leading our final pith.
Clarity is a futuristic stress-tracking mobile application that pairs with a user's wearable. Clarity would collate biological indicators of stress, suck as HRV, cortisol levels, Galvanic Skin Response, and temperature into a "stress score." The app would integrate with the user's calendar and map high-stress states to their daily activities. At the end of each day or week, the user would get a report that outlined which activities were most stressful, most calming, and recommended stress-relieving tactics such as using Mindbody or taking a quick walk. Clarity would integrate machine learning to identify what stress relievers worked best for individuals and recommend personalized stress-control plans.
Below is a Figma wireframe of Clarity built and designed largely by Ben Garvey and Jillian Brandon (I recommend fullscreen for the full experience).
